Starter Dough

Starter Dough was the first film produced by Undone Films. It was filmed almost entirely in one night at the Rock'n Robin's Diner in Red Deer, Alberta. Most of the actors you see where people who happened to be in the restaurant as it closed and who agreed to be in the film. The only shots in the movie filmed elsewhere are the radio wave guy screaming and the heart broken kid hugging his girlfriend which were both shot near the golf course in Lacombe on the Lindquist residence. This movie won honourable mention at the Red Deer Film Festival in 2002.

If we are fortunate, we know 95% of a person's life. This is the story of 8 ordinary strangers and the 5% of their lives we could never have guessed. These strangers only common thread is a young man who serves them on the train. While waiting for a delayed train, we learn the stories of these 8 regulars through the eyes of their server. As each of their stories unfold we discover these people are anything but regular. It all ends when we learn that behind everything, is the server's story.
